View DOT Inspections

The main screen displays all DOT inspections in a table showing:

  • Record # – Unique inspection identifier

  • Driver – Name of the driver inspected

  • Vehicle – Vehicle number

  • Trailer – Trailer number (if applicable)

  • Date – Inspection date

  • Level – Inspection level (I, II, III, etc.)

  • Report – Report number

  • State – State where inspection occurred

  • Status – Current status (New, In Progress, Completed, etc.)

Use the Search bar to find specific inspections.

Click Filters to apply advanced filtering options.

Click Columns to customize which fields are displayed.

Add a DOT Inspection

  1. Click + Add Inspection in the top-right corner.

  2. Enter the inspection details:

    • Record # – Auto-generated unique identifier

    • Status – Select from dropdown (New, In Progress, Completed, etc.)

    • Date – Click calendar icon to select inspection date

    • Start time – Enter when inspection began

    • End time – Enter when inspection ended

    • Driver – Select driver from dropdown

    • Vehicle – Select vehicle from dropdown

    • Trailer – Select trailer from dropdown (if applicable)

    • Level – Select inspection level (I, II, III, etc.)

    • Report # – Enter official DOT inspection report number

    • State – Select state where inspection occurred

    • Description – Enter detailed notes about the inspection, violations found, or corrective actions needed

  3. Click Save to save and return to the main list. OR Click Save & Open to save and continue editing.

Manage DOT Inspections

Click on any Record # to view or edit inspection details.

Use the table sorting to organize inspections by any column.

Filter by status to monitor pending or incomplete inspections.

Review the Status column to track inspection progress (highlighted in yellow for New inspections).
