Install and apply the Plugin Unlock Key

The following modules are licence key based — the licence key determines which modules are active, not the installation itself:

Install the plugins

Request the installation file from support, then access the installation folder from the FTP location.
Copy the folder to your Desktop.
Unzip the folder and open it.
Run the installation file.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the plugins.
At the Select Installation Folder screen, click Browse and select the Dimensions installation folder.
📌 Note: The default path is C:\Program Files\Access Applications\Dimensions\Accounts\[Version]. To confirm your exact path, open Dimensions and click the red button in the top left, then click About Dimensions.
Click OK to confirm the folder.
Click Next to continue.
Continue through the remaining installation steps.
When installation is complete, click Close. You now need to apply the plugin unlock key.

Go to the folder where the plugin was installed — usually the Dimensions installation path.
Right-click plugin_unlock_entry.exe and click Run as administrator. A window opens for you to enter the unlock details.
Unlock details can be obtained from:
- The person in your organisation the licence was sent to.
- The Access Despatch department: despatch.dept@theaccessgroup.com
Enter the plugin unlock key one block at a time, then click Accept. The plugins are now applied and Dimensions can be opened as normal.
📌 Note: A message may appear stating that the plugins are being installed and patched. This is expected.
Once complete, log in to Dimensions with the sa user first to confirm the licences and plugins have been applied correctly.
You can then log out and log back in as your normal user.
