Dispatch is allowing delivery pros to provide their daily hour preferences and starting location to better match with next-day scheduled orders.
How It Works
Step 1: Manage Preferences
Click the "Manage Preferences" button in your Settings tab.
Step 2: Set Availability
Click "Availability" to pull up the schedule screen. Once you're there, enter your preferred start and end times for each day you'd like to receive order offers. You should see a checked box next to the days you want to work.
Note: These timeframes will be used to send you next-day scheduled orders that fall within your given timeframes. These timeframes WON'T be used to send on-demand same-day orders. They also don't guarantee that you'll receive order offers; they're only preferences.
Step 3: Set Your Starting Location
Next, you'll click over to the "Location" section. In that section, you'll input where you want to start your day. This could be your home or a specific customer's location where you'd like to start your day.
Note: With this in place, you'll no longer need to sit in a customer's parking lot to receive their next-day scheduled orders.
How It Benefits You
This feature enables Dispatch to better match delivery pros with scheduled orders based on their availability.
It also allows delivery pros to receive order offers while in the comfort of their home, rather than driving to a customer's location and sitting in their parking lot to receive their next-day orders.
Note: There's no penalty for not using this feature. But if you plan to use it, you must set BOTH your availability AND starting location for this feature to work correctly.
Other Notes
The Driver Availability feature does NOT allow you to receive orders while you're offline. You'll still need to toggle yourself online when you want to receive order offers for next-day scheduled orders.
As stated in the Driver Score article, failure to respond to order offers will negatively affect your driver score. That means only toggle yourself online if you're actively looking to receive order offers that you can respond to.
