Set up a hardware token when I already have ToTP

What You Will Need

  1. Your Dispel login credentials

  2. A hardware token

How To Do It

1. In the lower left corner of the Console, click on the circle with your initials, then click on Account Settings

2. Scroll down to the "Two-factor Authentication" section and click "Add new device." 

 that you will not receive new recovery codes, because you already have MFA enabled through TOTP. The recovery codes you received then are still valid.

3. You will see a prompt to nickname your token. 

4. After naming, you will see a prompt to insert your new hardware token and press the button on the token.

5. Once it's added, you will be redirected to the settings page. There you can see that your key has been added.

6. If you want to be extra sure that MFA works now, sign out of your account and sign back in. 

Logging In with Hardware Token

1. Enter your username and password


2. You will be prompted for your hardware token. Insert your token and press the button. 

(2.5) If you wish to use TOTP, click on "Sign in with authenticator app."  

3. Congratulations! You should be in.
