Accessing Your Utah Court Case Online via MyCase (Non-Utah Residents)

Written by Micah Cohen

If you live outside Utah, you can still view your case online through the Utah Courts portal, MyCase. Because the portal is set up for Utah residents by default, you'll need to complete a one-time registration to verify your identity before you can log in.

Once you have access, you'll be able to:

  • Check your case status directly with the court

  • Confirm that your case number has been assigned

  • Monitor court filings and updates in real time- View and download your divorce documents

Before you start

You'll need two things on hand:

  • Your case number. If you don't have it, contact us and we'll look it up and send it to you.

  • A photo of your government-issued ID.

Step 1: Register as a non-Utah resident

Complete the registration form here: https://utahcourts.surveymonkey.com/r/QWRYFFG

On the form:

  1. Select the option "I have a non-Utah ID."

  2. Enter your case number.

  3. Upload a photo of your government-issued ID.

After you submit, it can take up to a business day for the court to process your registration.

Step 2: Log into MyCase

Once your registration has been processed, log in here: https://mycase.utcourts.gov/MyCaseWEB/LoginServlet

Then:

  1. Click My Profile.

  2. Register your case using your case number.3. Verify that the case number on your downloaded documents matches the one in your court records.

You'll then be able to view your case details and follow any updates.Additionally, you can download your divorce documents for secure storage and future reference.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

I don't know my case number. Contact us and we'll look it up and send it to you. (Keep in mind that a case number is only assigned after your case has been filed — see the last question below.)

I already have a Utah ID. You can skip the registration form entirely and log into MyCase directly at https://mycase.utcourts.gov/MyCaseWEB/LoginServlet.

I registered but still can't access my case. The court can be slow to process registrations. Wait one business day and try logging in again. If you still can't get in after that, reach out to us or contact the court directly.

I want to check my case status, but my case hasn't been filed yet. A case number isn't assigned until your case has been filed and processed by the court. Until that happens, there won't be anything to look up online.

Still stuck? Contact our support team and we'll help you get access.
