🧭 What Is DealMaker’s Role?

DealMaker is a technology platform that helps companies raise capital online. We provide a secure, digital environment for investors like you to complete investment transactions — but we are not a broker-dealer, and we do not hold your money or your shares.

Understanding DealMaker’s role will help clarify where to go for support, and what parts of your investment journey are handled by other parties.

🔧 What We Do

  • 📄 Provide the Investment Portal

DealMaker hosts the website you use to view an offering, complete your subscription documents, and submit payment.

  • 🖋 Enable Digital Document Signing

We facilitate the secure collection of required investment forms and signatures, including your subscription agreement.

  • 💳 Support Payment Processing

Depending on the deal setup, we help route your payment securely via credit card, ACH, wire transfer, or other methods.

  • 📬 Track Your Submission

Through your investor dashboard, you can view your submission status and see what steps (if any) are still required.

🔒 What We Don’t Do

  • We Do Not Hold Securities or Funds

DealMaker does not act as an escrow provider or custodian. Payments may be processed through an escrow agent or payment processor, and your securities are typically held by the issuer or their Transfer Agent.

  • We Do Not Issue Securities

The company (issuer) you invest in is responsible for accepting investments and issuing your securities after closing.

  • We Do Not Provide Investment Advice

DealMaker does not recommend or promote any specific offerings. Investment decisions are your own.

🤝 Other Parties You May Interact With

Depending on the offering, you may also work with:

  • The Issuer (the company raising funds): They manage the offering and ultimately issue your securities.

  • Transfer Agents: In some cases, a registered transfer agent will help manage ownership records and delivery of shares.

  • Investor Support Contacts: Some issuers provide their own support teams to answer offering-specific questions.

You can typically find contact details for the issuer in your DealMaker investor dashboard under the “My Companies” section.
