🔄 Is My Investment Fully Funded?

After you submit your investment and payment through the DealMaker platform, you may see status updates like “Funded” or “Accepted” in your dashboard. However, it's important to understand that these terms do not always mean your investment is finalized.

This article will help clarify what each status means — and what actions may still be required from you.

🧾 What Does “Funded” Mean?

If your investment is marked as Funded, it typically means that:

  • Your payment has been successfully submitted (e.g., your credit card has been charged or your wire transfer received)

  • Your funds have been received by the payment processor or escrow account linked to the offering

📌 Funding confirms that the payment was initiated or completed — but not that your investment is finalized or accepted.

✅ What Does “Accepted” Mean?

If your investment is marked as Accepted, it usually means:

  • The issuer has reviewed and approved your subscription

  • Your documents are in good order

  • The company has chosen to accept your investment into the offering

This is a strong indication that your investment is moving toward completion, but it may not yet be fully closed or issued.

🧩 Additional Steps May Still Be Required

Even if your investment is marked as funded or accepted, there may still be follow-up actions needed:

  • Identity Verification: If required, you must upload documents to verify your identity or accredited investor status (per KYC/AML compliance).

  • Issuer Countersignature: Your subscription agreement must be reviewed and counter-signed by the issuer.

  • Deal Closure Timing: Most offerings have a closing date. Until that date, the company may continue reviewing and accepting investments.

📬 You may receive emails from DealMaker or the issuer requesting additional steps or documentation. Please respond promptly to avoid delays.

🔍 Where to Check Your Status

You can monitor the real-time status of your investment by:

  1. Logging in at portal.dealmaker.tech

  2. Selecting your offering from the “My Companies” section

  3. Reviewing the dashboard for:

    • Investment status (e.g., Pending, Funded, Accepted)

    • Outstanding tasks or document uploads

    • Email notices or next-step instructions
