Submitting Additional Documentation

📎 Submitting Additional Documentation

After you complete your initial investment steps — including signing your subscription agreement and submitting payment — you may be asked to provide additional documentation to support verification requirements or to comply with regulations.

This is a normal part of the investment process on the DealMaker platform, and helps ensure compliance with laws such as Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.

📌 Why Additional Documents May Be Required

Depending on the offering and your investor profile, additional documentation may be requested to:

  • Verify your identity or residency

  • Confirm your accredited investor status (if applicable)

  • Satisfy regulatory or issuer-specific requirements

  • Complete entity or joint account verification

  • Resolve any discrepancies in the information submitted

📝 Common Types of Documentation Requested

  • Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or passport)

  • Proof of address (e.g., utility bill or bank statement)

  • Financial documents (e.g., W-2, tax returns, investment statements)

  • Entity documentation (e.g., Articles of Incorporation, EIN confirmation)

You’ll receive clear instructions via email or in your DealMaker dashboard if any documentation is needed.

🔄 Document Review & Next Steps

  • Documents you upload are reviewed by either DealMaker’s compliance team, the issuer, or a third-party verification partner.

  • In some cases, documents may need to be re-uploaded if they are unclear, incomplete, or expired.

  • You may receive follow-up emails with specific action steps required to continue or complete your investment.

🛑 Please Note

  • Your investment is not considered final until all required documentation has been submitted, reviewed, and approved.

  • The issuer must accept and countersign the subscription agreement for the investment to be legally binding.

  • DealMaker may send you reminders if your file is still pending documentation or action. These communications are important to avoid delays or cancellation.
