Some full service, professionally managed takedowns can occur in 1 day from time of payment to the content being removed.

However the length of time to conduct a successful takedown will depend on many variables, such as:

  1. type of content and

  2. content type website*

  3. location of the website

  4. location of the site owner

  5. who is the website owner

  6. who is the hosting company

  7. location of the hosting company.

There are of course other variables to contend with when completing and sending the notice.  Generally the length of time can be a few days.  If it will take longer you will generally be advised once your case has been processed.

The best way to know how long your takedown notice will take is to complete the takedown notice form located here: www.dmca.com/signup/createtakedown.aspx

Once reviewed by our takedown service professionals your case will be updated.

  1. * adult content and adult content sites can take longer to remove depending on the specific website. Your professional takedown case handler will advise you.

  2.  if you need the case processed faster than normal DMCA.com can provide expedited pricing.

If your takedown will take longer than the guarantee time of 5 working days one of DMCA.com's Takedown professionals will often advise you prior to proceeding with the takedown.
