Organization specific transformation rules allow you to define data modification rules scoped to a specific organization. These rules apply after extraction and before rejection rules are evaluated. They sit below trading party scope but above country and global scope in Docupath's precedence hierarchy.

How to Create an Organization Specific Transformation
Step 1 - Open the Main Menu
Click the dropdown arrow (▾) next to your user avatar in the top-right corner of the screen. This opens the main navigation menu, which lists all settings and features.
Step 2 - Go to "Transformations"
In the main menu, click "Transformations". This navigates you to the Transformations management page.
Step 3 - Switch to the "Organization Specific" Tab
Click the "Organization Specific" tab. This is where transformation rules scoped to a specific organization are managed.
Step 4 - Click "Add New"
Click the "+ Add New" button in the top-right of the Transformations page. A form for creating a new organization specific transformation will open.
Step 5 - Add a Title
In the Title field, enter a descriptive name for your transformation. For example:

Step 6 - Select a Document Type
Click the Document Type dropdown and select the document type this transformation applies to.
Step 7 - Select a Sub-Organization
Click the Organization dropdown. Click on your organization to expand it and reveal its sub-organizations. Select the relevant sub-organization.
Step 8 - Write the Transformation Rule
Click inside the Rules text area and type your transformation logic. For example:
If an item_uom is in g or grams, and the item_quantity is greater than 1000, set item_uom to kg and divide item_quantity by 1000
Step 9 - Link a Supporting File (Optional)
If your rule references external data, click the "Link Supporting File" link. A popup will open allowing you to select a supporting file that has already been uploaded to your tenant instance.
Step 10 - Click "Refine with AI"
Click the "Refine with AI" button (pencil ✏️ icon). Docupath's AI will process your instruction and may surface feedback, errors, or suggestions to help improve the rule's clarity and specificity. Wait for the response before proceeding.
Step 11 - Click "Generate with AI"
Click the "Generate with AI" button (lightning ⚡ icon) to programmatically generate the transformation rule based on your written instruction. The button will show a loading spinner while the rule is being generated. Wait until the loading state completes before proceeding.
Step 12 - Click "Save"
Once generation is complete, click the "Save" button at the top of the screen to save the transformation. You will be returned to the Transformations list, and a confirmation banner will indicate the transformation was saved successfully.
