Describe how to get onboarded onto the platform and whats in the org settings area.

Updated over a week ago

In your account once onboarded you should have three tabs,

  1. Activities

  2. Members

  3. Org settings

General: In this section, you can manage your organization's information and make changes to your organization's details.

Ecosystems: This tab is where you can view and categorize your audience into different ecosystems, such as distinguishing between the public and corporate audiences. This helps with sending invitations and generating reports.

Apps: Apps here refer to segments of your audience and different types of activities.

Big Help Out (BHO): This is a national campaign that runs from June to September. It focuses on short-term volunteer opportunities tied to specific events. The goal is to encourage individuals to volunteer during this specific period and support various events across the country.

Do It Volunteer National: This is an ongoing national app that connects individuals with continuous, long-term volunteer roles. It provides a platform for finding and engaging in volunteer opportunities across various causes on an ongoing basis.

Admins: This section allows you to invite your colleagues to the platform as administrators who can help manage the account.

Permissions: Here, you can assign specific permissions to your volunteers, determining what they can do within the platform. You can also receive permissions to publish content into apps.

Integrations: If you have a development team, this is where you can integrate your platform with other systems and tools. This enables you to push volunteer opportunities into the platform and extract application data. For more details on integrations and available options, you can contact the platform administrators.
