Check Proxy In Dolphin {anty}

In Dolphin Anty my proxy does not work - what to do?

Under normal operating conditions, Dolphin Anty cannot affect your proxy in any way. We do not have this functionality.

  • Please read the whole article to the end to understand your problem, because it contains all the answers to your question.

Proxy not working - how to figure out what's wrong

When you see in the Dolphin Anty application window that you have no connection to the proxy or the profile does not open showing the error "Failed to get IP data...", this means that your proxy cannot be connected to from your computer and/or from our proxy checking service (vo4.co).

In general, our proxy checking service works 24/7 and works properly, most often the problem is either with the proxy itself or with your IP address. In any case, it must be checked, there are two ways: through Ping and through Third Party Proxy Checkers (it is necessary to exclude our influence or on the contrary to confirm that the problem is on our side).

  • Important! If you have proxies with authorization by your IP address, they will not work with us unless you add vo4.co domain to your proxy whitelist. This is done by your proxy provider.

Verify proxies with third-party services

We recommend our clients to check their proxies with the usual and most popular proxy checker: proxy6.net/checker

If you see a green checkmark in the "Status" column - everything is OK, if not - proxies are definitely not working and you can write to the provider for a replacement or change the provider. If it shows a green checkmark and our proxy is not working, it means that you need to try VPN (more details in chapter Solution: point 2). If there is no help and your proxy provider says that it works 1000000%, you should write to your provider and give him a screenshot from third-party checker

Check the proxy with ping

To check your proxy, you just have to type in a command like: ping ip-proxy in the Terminal (command line) and wait for the results.

For example, your proxy is like this:
http://hproxy.site:18787:Unqqews5m:Ufsfsrdsdqx11

Then you have to type in Windows (Start - Command Prompt):

ping hproxy.site

ping hproxy.site

On the Mac, you need to type ping hproxy.site in the Terminal

If you see that "Lost = 4", (on the mac writes infinitely lost connection or failed to connect), then it means that from this IP address (yours, on your PC) to this proxy is not possible to connect.

  • This does not mean that the proxy does not work, but it is an indication that it will not work from your IP address (assuming that it also shows up as not working in Dolphin).

If you still have doubts about the correctness of the check, we recommend that you check your proxy with an OTHER provider (not the one who gave you the proxy) to understand if it works correctly.

A solution other than those described above:

  1. If some sites are not opened in the browser profile from your proxy, for example: FB, Google, Yandex, Twitter, but others are opened - the problem is entirely on the side of your proxy provider.

  2. In rare cases, you may not work FB, even if the proxy supports it, or you may not work proxy from Ukraine. This happens because some providers block proxying these proxies. Also, some network channels may be blocked, so you need to change the access point to bypass these channels.
In this case, you need to install any VPN on your device and then, all other things being equal, proxies will work correctly with FB and Ukrainian proxies will give connection. Example VPN:
    https://vpn4test.com/
    https://1.1.1.1/
    https://www.hidemyass.com/

  3. If you have a proxy with authorization by your IP address, it will not work with us unless you can add vo4.co domain to your proxy whitelist. This is done by your proxy provider.
