In Dolphin{anty} my proxy is not working - what to do ?
Let's try to figure it out 🤔

It should be noted at once that under normal conditions, antidetect-browser cannot affect the work of the proxy in any way, it simply does not have such functionality, it only connects it to the browser profile and does not control its work.


🛠️ Proxy does not work - what are the causes and solutions

When the application shows that there is no connection to the proxy or the profile does not open and showing the error "Error checking connection to proxy"

It appears as follows: ⬇️

  • ➡️ The profile does not start and a red exclamation mark appears near the " Start" button when you click on it and the message "Error checking connection to proxy" is displayed

  • ➡️ When checking a proxy, shows "red arrows" on the profiles screen or a red "Error" status on the proxy screen

This could mean one of the problems 🛠️

  1. Cannot connect from this particular connection (internet-provider) to the proxy server

  2. Proxy server does not respond, i.e. proxies themselves do not work (even if the seller's site says that they work - it is not always correct information).

  3. Proxy-checker in Dolphin{anty} can't connect and check this particular proxy (extremely rare because we use a trusted service with which there are no problems in normal mode).

Let's see option by option:

Cannot connect from this particular connection (internet-provider)

To find out if this is the problem - just change the connection, for example, give out mobile Internet from your phone or connect to another Internet, if you can not do it or it did not work - you can try any free VPN, to change the geolocation from which the connection to the proxy is made (in case the operator does not allow connection to the proxy).

Proxy server does not respond (proxies are not working)

If there are several proxies and some are working and others are not, then most likely the problem is on the proxy side and it is worth writing to the provider.
When a proxy does not work, it will be displayed not only on your computer and connection, but also on proxy checkers - you can read more about such checking below in the section "Checking proxies with third-party services"

Proxy checker can't connect

It is not so easy to determine if this is the problem.
For example, it is a clear sign that in another anti-detect browser or any extension/application the proxy works, but in Dolphin{anty} it doesn't work. (even though the connection and the device are the same)

If this happens - you should write to our support via the app, website or Telegram, we'll check if it's the problem and we'll solve it 😉


🌐 Proxy verification with third-party services

You can also check proxies on any proxy checking service.
One of them for example is proxy6.net/checker⬇️.

  1. You need to enter the proxy in the format IP:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORD

  2. Enter any site to which accessibility is checked
    (connection is checked: site server ➡️ proxy server ➡️ site).

  3. Select whether to define proxy location and pass captcha

  4. Click "Verify proxy"

After that, the result of the test will be shown at the bottom:

If in the "Status" column ⬇️

  • ✅ Green check mark - everything is fine and the proxy is working

  • ❌ Red cross - proxies are definitely not working and you can immediately contact the seller with a replacement proxy.

If you see a green check mark here and the proxy does not work in the anti-detect browser, then you should try VPN or change the network (more details above in the section "Proxy does not work - what are the reasons and solutions"). It is important to understand that the site checks the connection to the proxy from itself (meaning from the server where the site itself is located) and not from the computer on which it is opened.

ℹ️ What to do if one site does not open?

If in browser profile with proxy some sites do not open, for example: Facebook, Google, Yandex, Twitter, but at the same time the rest of the sites open - the problem is definitely on the side of the seller of the proxy, because the site blocks the connection from this proxy, you need to write to the seller in support.
