Profile management in Dolphin {anty}
Updated over 2 weeks ago

We have looked at how to create your first profile. Now, we will explore the functionality of profile management.

In the browsers tab, the following functionality is available:

  • Profile management via the "3 dots" icon

  • Mass profile management

  • Sorting

  • Adding statuses/notes/tags

Profile control via the "3 dots"

To the left of the profile, you can hover over the three dots, and you will see a drop-down list of actions you can perform with this profile. Let's look at each action:

  • Add to folder - allows you to add a profile to a pre-created folder of profiles (more information about folders - here).

  • Edit - allows you to edit profile (change settings, proxies, add tags, statuses, etc.)

  • Show permissions - displays accesses to the profile that other users have. Read more about profile permissions and profile transfers here.

  • Script run - allows you to run a previously created script.

  • Export - allows you to export cookies or "local storage" from an already created profile

  • Import - allows you to import cookies or "local storage" into an already created profile

Cookies are data in text format sent to the browser from the website you open. With their help, the site remembers information about your visits and authorizations.
LocalStorage (local storage) can store data related to the user, without storing them on the server. Unlike cookies, it stores not only data about visits/authorizations, but also the font size, or settings for adaptability of the site. In facts, it acts as a kind of "cache" for the browser. Some sites use it rather than cookies for authorization.

  • Cookie robot - allows you to run a cookie robot to populate cookies in the profile. In order to run it, you need to enter the sites that the cookie robot should run, and then press Enter to make the sites appear as a list at the bottom, and then press "Start".

  • Copy profile - allows you to copy a profile and specify the desired number of copies. Also, you can copy profiles by randomizing the fingerprint, or on the contrary, you can disable this slider.

  • Pin on top - allows you to pin a profile in the list at the very top.

  • Delete - deletes the profile and moves it to the trash, where it is stored for 48 hours. Details.

Also, you can add/modify proxies by clicking on the pencil icon in the "Proxy" column.
Read more about creating proxy types.

To manage profiles in bulk, select the desired profiles by ticking the checkboxes. A blue panel will appear at the bottom, providing all the functionality to manage profiles in bulk. Let's look at each of the buttons:

  • Stop profiles - using this button you can stop profiles in bulk

  • Start synchronizer - the function of starting the selected profiles in the synchronization mode (repeating actions in the profiles, more information about this button is available in the following section here)

Sorting

Using filters, you can conveniently sort browser profiles:

You can filter the profiles:

  • Users - if you have additional users added, you can filter which user's profiles you want to see

  • By tag of profiles.

  • By statuses of profiles

  • Main websites - No site, Facebook, Google, TikTok, crypto

  • Proxies - you can filter and display profiles with the proxy you choose in the filters

  • Notes - search by text in profile notes

  • Folders - search for profiles by folders

You can also search for profiles using several queries at once in the “Filters” section.

The maximum number of requests is 5.

To do this, you need to go to filters and enter the first query in the input field; after you start entering, the second field will appear:

In this way, you can enter queries, after which all profiles that match the entered queries will be displayed:

Customize columns

In the column settings, you can add a “Launch” column, which will show the last time the profile was launched.

To do this, click on “Customize Columns”:

Next, in the window that appears, check the box next to the “Launched” column and click on “Save”

After launching the profile, the date and time the profile was launched will appear:
