What does "Cover Fees" mean for a donation?

Thanks for your support & for considering our "Cover Fees" option! Below is some more information about the "Fees" you are covering and why we'd appreciate you covering them.

Our payment processor for donations has a credit/debit card processing fee when a donation is made (the same fee occurs for making purchases) and is part of almost every donation platform.

By covering fees, you're adding an additional amount to your donation that will then cover the fee that is taken out of a donation so that we receive your intended donation amount.

For example:

A $50 donation can sometimes lead to a fee of $1.81. If you cover fees, we'll receive the entire intended donation amount. Otherwise, we'll only receive $48.19 of your donation ($50 - fees of $1.81).

We truly appreciate your donation whether you cover fees or now! We just wanted to provide you with the option :)
