Giving Stats provide instant insight into a constituent’s giving history, including summary metrics, annual totals, Gift Aid, pledges, and soft credits.
View Giving Stats on a Constituent Record
Open a constituent’s profile.
Locate the Giving Stats section on the top-right of the screen.
Click the down arrow next to Average Gift to expand the full view.
The expanded panel includes summary stats, annual giving totals, and soft credits.
What Counts as Gift Income?
Gift income includes voluntary income such as:
Donations.
Grants.
Other forms of non-contract fundraising income.
Gift income is determined at Product level.
To set a Product as gift income:
Navigate to Settings, click Configuration,then select Products.
Set Gift Income in Giving Stats to Yes.
📌 Note:
Gift Income does not mean the donation is Gift Aid-eligible. Gift Aid eligibility is controlled separately by the Gift Aid-able setting.
Summary Giving Stats
The Giving Stats panel displays key lifetime and behavioural indicators, including:
First Gift.
Last Gift.
Average Gift.
Lowest / Highest Gift.
Donor Pyramid Level.
Current consecutive giving years.
Best consecutive giving years.
Where relevant, the specific transaction used to calculate the stat is shown.
Annual Giving Stats (Based on Your Financial Year)
Annual giving is displayed in a 6-column format:
Lifetime total.
Current year.
Current year – 1.
Current year – 2.
Current year – 3.
Current year – 4 and earlier.
To define the financial year:
Navigate to Settings, click Account, select Donorfy Settings, then click Reporting year starts on.
📌 Note: If you change your reporting year start date, values update overnight.
Data is based on the Accounting Date in the transaction allocation.
Rows include:
Given – Gift income allocations.
Gift Aid reclaimed – Claimed via Donorfy or integrations.
Pledged – Outstanding pledge amounts.
Soft Credits.
Total – Combined value of the above.
Non-gift income (shown separately, not included in Total).
📌Note:
Soft credits are always included in annual stats, regardless of Product, because soft-credited amounts often represent only part of the donation.
Using Giving Stats in Lists
Giving Stats can be added to any List for:
Financial reporting.
Segmenting supporters.
Appeal selections.
Auto-tagging.
Trigger conditions.
Analysis via Power BI, Excel, or other tools using OData.
Available fields include values for:
Current Year, Year –1, Year –2, Year –3, Year –4+
Rolling 12-month totals, broken down as:
Months 1–12 (last complete 12 months).
Months 13–24.
Months 25–36.
Months 37–48.
Months 49+.
Current Year –1 to-date for direct comparisons with current year-to-date figures
Giving Stats appear within the column selector when building your List.

Giving Stats are also accessible through Donorfy’s OData service.
Campaign Lists
Campaign Lists include similar giving fields, covering:
Current Year.
Year –1, –2, –3.
Year –4+.
Rolling 12-month totals.
How and When Giving Stats Update
Giving Stats update at different times depending on how data is added:
Manual Timeline entries: updated almost immediately.
API transactions: updated overnight.
Historic / migration uploads: recalculated overnight.
Prior years: recalculated nightly (in case of reporting-year changes).
Dashboard Tiles
Dashboard tiles reflect these updated definitions:
Gift income this week/month/year.
Donations this/last year: based on rolling 12-month totals.
Donor Pyramid: now based on total contribution, not only given amount.
The current year matches the reporting year defined in your settings.
