The Duplicates process separates single matches from multiple matches so you can review and merge potential duplicates more efficiently. Single matches are duplicate pairs where the target constituent has only one matched constituent, making them quicker to resolve.

Understand Single Matches

  • Single matches display all pairs where the target constituent (right side) has only one possible duplicate.

  • Results are ordered by confidence score, with the highest-scoring pairs listed first.

  • Review the details of each constituent in the pair to confirm whether they are duplicates.

  • Select an action for each pair or leave the default No action if no change is needed.

Choose a Merge Action

Use the merge options box to choose how each pair should be handled:

  • No action: Do not do anything with this pair for now.

  • Merge Left: Merge the right constituent into the left constituent. The left constituent is kept.

  • Merge Right: Merge the left constituent into the right constituent. The right constituent is kept.

  • Not duplicates: Mark this pair of constituents as not being duplicates. These constituents will not be matched against each other again in future duplicate checks.

Preview and Confirm Your Actions

  1. After selecting actions for each pair, click Preview and Update.

  2. Review the summary screen showing the actions that will be applied.

  3. Click Confirm to proceed or Cancel to return and make changes.
