Overview
JustGiving allows you to add custom codes to Fundraising Pages. These codes tell Donorfy how to map donations when they flow in through the JustGiving integration.
You can optionally rename Custom Code Headers to make them more meaningful, then assign the codes to each Fundraising Page.
Rename Your Headers
Renaming headers helps you easily identify where each custom code should be added—for example, renaming Header 2 to Department, Header 3 to Campaign, etc.
Guidelines:
You do not need to rename the headers for the integration to work.
Leave Header 1 and Header 5 empty.
Add Custom Codes to Your Fundraising Pages
Step 1: Open the Fundraising Page Coding Tool
The following steps are taken from JustGiving's help document: How to add custom codes to your JustGiving data (6).pdf.
In JustGiving, go to your charity admin area.
Click Add fundraising page codes.
This opens the JustGiving tool for applying custom codes.
Step 2: Locate the Fundraising Pages
Use the calendar to view pages created in a particular month.
Pages are listed under:
Assigned (already coded)
Unassigned (no codes added yet)
Click either group to open a list of pages.
Expand a Fundraising Page to view its details.
These steps follow JustGiving’s “How to add custom codes” guidance.
Step 3: Enter Your Custom Codes
Under each Header (1–6, or custom names if you renamed them), enter the appropriate code.
Use only the headers relevant to Donorfy’s mapping logic:
Header 2 = Department.
Header 3 = Campaign.
Header 4 = Fund.
Header 6 = Tribute Fund (enter the Constituent Number).
Example (non-tribute page):
Header 2 / Department =
CorporateHeader 3 / Campaign =
GeneralHeader 4 / Fund =
General
If creating a Tribute Fund mapping:
Header 6 =
<Constituent ID>.
Leave all other Header fields blank.
Save Your Changes
Click Save changes to apply these codes to the selected Fundraising Page.
⚠️Important:
Custom Codes in excess of 20 characters* in JustGiving will be truncated via the JustGiving API. In instances where this occurs, the code will not match a Department, Campaign, or Fund in Donorfy and will result in default settings being used.
If your Department, Campaign, or Fund in Donorfy is greater than 20 characters then it is suggested a new Department, Campaign, or Fund is created which is less than or equal to 20 characters in length.
* The number of characters includes spaces
