Connecting Donorfy to GoCardless enables you to accept and process recurring payments securely. Once connected, you can create a Web Widget so donors can set up Direct Debits directly through your website.
📌Note:
GoCardless API availability varies by subscription plan; if your GoCardless plan does not include API access, the integration will not function.
For best results, keep GoCardless set to automatic payouts, allowing Donorfy to update Recurring Payment Instruction (RPI) statuses promptly.
GoCardless payments are automatically added to Donorfy using the Direct Debit payment type. If this payment type does not already exist, Donorfy will create it.
Connect Donorfy to GoCardless
Follow these steps to link your GoCardless account:
Go to Settings, then click Configuration.
Open GoCardless Connect.
Choose one of the following:
Connect to GoCardless using an existing account: if you already have a GoCardless account.
Connect to GoCardless using a new account: if you need to create one.
You will be redirected to GoCardless to log in or create your account and complete the setup.
Once setup is complete, GoCardless will redirect you back to Donorfy.
You can now create a Web Widget that allows donors to set up recurring Direct Debit donations.
