Understand What the Integration Achieves
Linking Donorfy to JustGiving allows fundraising and donation data to flow automatically into Donorfy.
Retrieve details of people who raise money for you through JustGiving.
Import donations made directly via JustGiving, including Giving Checkout donations.
The integration supports:
JustGiving Classic, including Fundraising Pages and Campaign Pages.
JustGiving Giving Checkout, such as website buttons and QR codes.

See How Fundraising Pages Are Handled
For JustGiving Classic, fundraising pages are imported and tracked individually.
Import fundraising pages so their performance can be reviewed in Donorfy.
Map fundraising pages to Donorfy campaigns, even if they are not linked to campaigns in JustGiving.
This includes pages set up for events, challenges, or personal occasions such as anniversaries.
Understand How Donations Are Imported
Donorfy imports donation data from JustGiving in a structured way.
Add each donation as a separate transaction on the constituent timeline.
Exclude these transactions from Donorfy Gift Aid claims automatically.
Additional transaction handling includes:
Storing JustGiving fees as Processing Costs.
Applying transaction settings such as product or campaign from the JustGiving configuration.
Adding soft credits from donors to fundraisers for fundraising page donations.
Applying Gift Aid payments automatically if JustGiving’s reclaim service is used.
📌 Note:
If JustGiving does not supply an email address, the donation is treated as anonymous.
Track Fundraising Page Activity
When a new fundraising page is created, Donorfy records the activity.
Add a Fundraising Page Created activity to the fundraiser’s timeline.
Display the same activity on the linked campaign timeline.
This ensures fundraising efforts are visible across Donorfy.
Understand When the Integration Runs
The JustGiving integration runs automatically on a schedule.
Retrieve fundraising page updates every night.
Process donation payments weekly, usually on Thursday night.
During the first run:
Donation data from the last three months is retrieved by default.
The start date can be reduced in Settings, but not extended.
📌 Note:
Fundraising pages up to 15 months old may be retrieved to ensure donation data maps correctly.
Manage Data Retrieval Settings
You can control how much historical data is imported.
Open Settings, then click Configuration, then click JustGiving Settings.
Adjust the Retrieve payment data starting from date if required.
This is useful if historical payment data has already been imported by another method.
Understand Data Delays
There may be delays before data appears in Donorfy.
Allow up to two weeks for donations to appear, due to JustGiving payment batching.
Expect new fundraising pages and fundraiser constituents to appear within one to two days.
Delays are normal and depend on JustGiving’s payment schedules.
