DoorSpot includes built-in fields like square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and a property description—but every business has unique details to track. That’s where custom fields come in.

Custom fields allow you to create blank fields that can be filled in for properties, units, clients, and more. They help you record key details that don’t appear in the default setup.

Example:

If you'd like to track which neighborhood a property is located in, simply create a custom field labeled Neighborhood. This will give you a dedicated space to input and display that detail for each property.

Other helpful custom field examples include:

  • Wi-Fi network name and password

  • School district

  • Pet policy or accepted pet types

  • Door codes or lockbox codes

  • Nearest airport or transit stop

  • Housekeeping preferences

  • Building access instructions

  • Local contacts or emergency info

You can create as many custom fields as needed to reflect the information that matters to your team and operations.

Like Tags, custom fields are valuable for filtering and organizing units and properties.
