Before applying for a dosh home loan, please ensure you meet the below eligibility criteria.
As borrower/s you must
Be aged 18 years or older
Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
Have 3 months of steady income and can provide 3 months of statements showing your income and expenses:
If you have been with your current employer for less than 3 months you may need to provide an employment contract
If you are self employed, you will need to have been employed for 12 months and provide the most recent year’s financial statements
Be an individual with no borrowers being a trust or look through company
If you are looking to purchase a property
You are intending on buying a residential property to live in
Westpac Construction loans and Westpac First Home Loan are currently not available
Borrowing up to 80% of the property’s value
If your lending amount is above 80% you may be asked to provide a registered valuation, and the dosh home loan rates may not apply
If you are purchasing an apartment, you may be required to provide a registered valuation if you are borrowing over 50% of the property’s value
If you are looking to refinance your existing property
The remaining balance of your existing home loan is less than 80% of the property’s value
You are refinancing a property that you currently live in, or it is a second dwelling that you do not rent out. A holiday home is considered a second dwelling
If your application is approved, you will be eligible for a Westpac Choices Fixed or Choices Floating Home Loan
Interest only loans are not available
Revolving Home Loans are not available
