As a borrower you must:
Be 18 years or older
Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
As the primary borrower you are employed full time with 3 months steady income and can provide 3 months of bank statements
At this time we cannot assess applications that include a guarantor
Property purchase lending rules:
Purchasing a property to live in: Lending is restricted to 80% of the purchase price
Purchasing a property for investment: Lending will be restricted to 70% of the purchase price
Construction loans: Not currently available
Westpac First Home Loans: Not currently available
Different types of residential property purchases may have other valuation requirements
Refinancing requirements:
Refinancing a property you live in: Lending is restricted to 80% of the current property value
Refinancing an investment property: Lending is restricted to 70% of the current property value
A holiday home or second property that does not receive rental income: Lending is restricted to 80% of the current property value
