Am I eligible to apply for a home loan through dosh?

Before applying for a home loan through dosh, please ensure you meet the below eligibility criteria.

As a borrower you must:

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident

  • As the primary borrower you are employed full time with 3 months steady income and can provide 3 months of bank statements

  • At this time we cannot assess applications that include a guarantor

Property purchase lending rules:

  • Purchasing a property to live in: Lending is restricted to 90% of the purchase price

  • Purchasing a property for investment: Lending will be restricted to 70% of the purchase price

  • Different types of residential property purchases may have other valuation requirements

Refinancing requirements:

  • Refinancing a property you live in: Lending is restricted to 80% of the current property value

  • Refinancing an investment property: Lending is restricted to 70% of the current property value

  • A holiday home or second property that does not receive rental income: Lending is restricted to 90% of the current property value
