Paying with Dosh
Tag on and tag off exactly like a HOP card, using your Dosh card or device wallet.
AT charges Visa network for all travel once per day, around 2 am, based on journeys over the preceding 24‑hour period.
To be charged successfully, your Dosh wallet must have sufficient balance to cover all travel in that 24‑hour window.
If your wallet balance is insufficient, AT will block your Dosh card at the AT terminals until top‑up or repayment is received. This block is AT only and will still work at all other places.
Once the daily charge is processed (nightly at about 2 am), if payment is received, travel can continue; if not, the card stays blocked.
If you card is blocked by AT, you will receive a declined payment alert in the dosh app, even with a credit balance.
Once payment is received at 2am by AT. You can resume using the dosh card.
This is not just for dosh but all Visa issued cards across all banks.
