What happens if I unlink a dot?
Unlinking your dot.device from your profile will completely reset your dot. This will allow you then connect the device to another dot.Profile.
Why should I unlink a dot?
You can use the Unlink Feature on your dot.Profile if you want to connect it to a different account. For example:
If you connected multiple dots to a profile and realize you maybe want to create a second profile, use the Unlink Feature and reset one of your dot.device. After unlinking is completed, you can then connect that dot.device to your second profile.
If one of your employees leaves, you can use the Unlink Feature to reset their dot.device so you can later have your new employees activate and use them
Steps
To successfully Unlink a dot.device from your dot.Profile:
Login to your dot.Profile at https://dot.cards
Tap Edit Profile
Tap where it says dot.device at the top of the page
Tap the edit icon (pencil) in the upper-right corner
Tap the name of the device you want to unlink
Tap Unlink at the bottom of the page
All the data from your device is now cleared and you can start the activation process over.
