Troubleshooting
If you are having issues scanning your dot, it generally means that you are not tapping it to the correct spot. Make sure you tap your dot to the sweet spot on every smartphone. The sweet spot is where the NFC sensor is located.
For iPhones, on the back at the top, just to the right of the camera. For newer iPhones, you can also tap your dot.device to the "notch" (from iPhones X to 14) or the "dynamic island" (iPhone 14 Pro) located on the front of your phone at the top of the screen.
*For iPhones 7, 8, and X, you'll have to turn on it's NFC reader in the Control Panel.
For Androids, the NFC reader is on the back in the middle of the phone.
You may need to use a little motion over the NFC reader to wake it up (from sleep-mode).
