Assemble various kits containing computers, monitors, and other peripherals, enabling you to order everything in one click without the hassle of searching for individual items.

What can a kit contain?

Each kit can include:

  • 1 laptop

  • 2 screens

  • and multiple peripherals such as: mouse, webcam, keyboards, docking station, headsets, and even swag.

How do we create a kit?

When creating a new kit, you need to associate your kit with a specific Team (department) in your company (such as finance or compliance, etc.). If you don’t want to choose from the dropdown option suggested to you, you can just write freely in the team rubric and click on Create. This will create a new custom Team to fit your company's needs.

Important Notes:
#The Dots platform scans for kits availability in the Dots warehouses that you are using. It does not include your other Locations.

Locations which you have defined as warehouse or office stock are not included in the scan findings.

#Availability of kits in your warehouse can be found in any of your Dots warehouse pages under the Location tab.

#The availability scan is based on your assets' MPN (Manufacturer Product Number). Only warehouse assets with MPN will be reviewed in the scan. Assets available in your warehouse that do not include MPN will not be checked in the scan.

How do we onboard an employee using kits?

Please note important icons which indicate an asset’s status:

1. Assets that are currently connected to an open order that hasn’t been processed yet will be marked with a green ticket icon:

These unassigned assets might appear available because they are not removed from stock immediately after an order is submitted. They are labeled as "No assignee" because they have not yet been assigned to a new location or warehouse.

2. Assets which are available in your Dots warehouse stock and which are included in multiple kits templates will be marked with blue exclamation icon:

How do we re-stock using Kits?

Got a fixed set of assets you offer your employees? Prepare them in advance using Kits and, every time you need to restock, simply submit a purchase request for the relevant kits, noting in the order how many kits you would like to purchase. This will make your purchasing orders quick and easy.
