To integrate Jamf with Dots, you'll need to create a user account in Jamf and make sure reading privileges are given to it. This will create the connection with Dot’s.

Step 1- Create a new user account
Log in to Jamf Pro.
In the left side index you will find “Settings” click on it.
Click on “System” in the horizontal index.
Click on “User Accounts and Groups”.
A list of Jamf Pro user accounts and groups is displayed.
Click “+New”.
Choose to “Create Standard Account” and press “Next”.
Do the following under tab Account:
7.1 Add a Username, preferably with the name "Dots" for easy recognition later. Save it as we will need it in step 2.
7.2 Under Access Level choose “Full Access”.
7.3 Under Privilege Set choose “Auditor”.
7.4 Under Access Status choose ”Enabled”.
7.5 Add Name and Email Address.
7.6 Set up a Password and save it as we will need it in step 2.Click “Save”.
Switch to tab “Privileges” and Choose from the index “Jamf Pro server Objects”, make sure the Read column is marked .

Step 2 - Integrate with Dots' platform
Log in to Dots dashboard.
Go to the Integration page.
Choose the Jamf integration and click Connect.
A pop up window with an explanation about Dots system accessing Jamf will appear. Review it and click “Allow & continue”.
Another pop up window will appear asking you to choose the integration connection mode you would like to activate in this integration. This part is important as you need to choose how you would like to sync your assets data from Jamf.
Sync mode- In this integration mode assets technical data will sync to Dots only if assets are existing in Dots and they have serial numbers.
Employee assignee data will not be synced!
Download and sync mode- In this integration mode assets technical data and employee assignee data will be downloaded to Dots from your MDM.
Note: if you already uploaded assets manually this would not assign existing assets.

After you choose the relevant integration connection mode click on ”Allow & Continue”.
Choose your connection type:
SSO clients= clients which connect to Jamf Pro via an SSO solution.
NON SSO clients= clients who connect their Jamf Pro no via SSO solution.
If you choose NON SSO clients Enter the following data:
Domain URL - the company name as written in the URL when you login to Jamf (https://CompanyName.jamfcloud.com/).
Jamf login - The user account username you saved in step 1.
Jamf password - The user account password you saved in step 1.
If you choose SSO clients Enter the following data:
Domain URL - the company name as written in the URL when you login to Jamf (https://CompanyName.jamfcloud.com/).
Client ID
Client Secret
Your Jamf Pro integration is completed!
Go and review your assets under tab Assets.
