π‘ With product costs, you can automatically calculate the costs of raw materials, produced products, bottled products, and composite products. You can configure this yourself using different parameters.
π‘ To calculate an accurate cost, each component must have a cost assigned to it.

π‘ Itβs best to start with the Cost Management module in this order:
the products you purchase,
the products you produce,
the products you bottle,
the calculation of the cost price in which the above products are used in compositions.
β’ Go to Products β Product Costs and click the green plus sign.
Cost Calculation Parameters
π‘ Select the product for which you want to set up the cost calculation and the source of cost information on which the calculation should be based.
Purchase order: the product cost is calculated based on the purchase orders in which this product was bought.
Preferred supplier: the product cost is based on the purchase price from the preferred supplier.
π‘ For this, you must have set a preferred supplier on the product and the price must be known for this supplier.

Repackaging: the product cost is calculated based on the repackaging order in which this product was produced.
Production: the product cost is calculated based on the production orders in which this product was produced.
π‘ Any process costs added during the production process are included here. This option is typically used for beers, spirits, β¦ that you produce yourself.

Bottling: the product cost is calculated based on the bottling orders in which this product was produced.
π‘ Here too, any process costs added during the bottling process are included. This option is typically used for finished products (like a crate of beer) that you produce yourself.
Manual cost entry: if you donβt want the product cost to be calculated automatically, you can enter the cost of this product manually.
π‘ Manual cost entry is generally used for reusable containers/drink packaging. You determine the cost price based on the number of times the container can be reused.
Additional Costs
π‘ In this step, you can also enter fixed costs that should be included in the product cost calculation.
Cost type: the type of cost you want to track in this step. Typical examples: cleaning cost, energy cost, β¦

Price: the specific cost per unit: liter, kilogram, gram, piece.
Note: an optional field to add clarification about the cost.
History
π‘ In the history, a new line appears each time a recalculation of the cost price takes place.
π‘ When you set the cost calculation to manual cost entry, you will enter a cost price in this block yourself.
Date: the date on which the cost was automatically calculated, or β in case of manual entry β the date from which the cost applies.
Cost: the automatically calculated value, or the field in which you manually enter the cost price.
Note: automatically generated clarification with information about the transaction on which the calculation was based. In case of manual entry, you can use this field to add extra details about the entered cost.
π‘ The calculator icon indicates whether a cost was automatically calculated. With an automatic calculation, the icon turns green.
