DPD Ireland – Smoke/Vape Free Workplace

In line with legislation, it is DPD's policy that all employees have a right to work in a smoke-free environment and that we operate a workplace that is smoke-free.

Therefore, smoking/vaping any tobacco product and/or electronic cigarettes is prohibited on company premises. This includes the garden area, in company vehicles and car parking areas. This policy applies to all employees, consultants, contractors, customers and visitors.

Smoking/Vaping is permitted in the designated smoking/vaping area, which is located at the front of the building. All smoking/vaping activities must be contained within the smoking area/shelter provided, and users are required to ensure that all cigarettes are safely extinguished prior to leaving this area. Smoking/Vaping anywhere else on company property is strictly prohibited and any employee found in breach of this policy will face disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Individuals who contravene the legislation prohibiting smoking in the workplace may also be liable to a criminal prosecution with an associated fine.

All staff and visitors are required to adhere to, and facilitate the implementation of, the policy. "No Smoking" signs are clearly displayed within the premises.

We encourage all employees who smoke to contact the People Team to find out how best to get support to deal with their habit.
