In September 2019 DPD Group implemented the Global Sanctions Compliance Policy which sets out the fundamental procedural framework for ensuring that applicable international sanctions are followed in day to day professional activities of Geo Post Group acting under the commercial brand of DPD Group.

Non-compliance with these regulations and trade sanctions laws can expose DPD group to criminal penalties, including substantial monetary fines and, in the case of individuals, prison sentences.

It is therefore of paramount importance that all Group Companies within DPD Group strictly comply with all applicable legal provisions relating to export control in addition to the Global Sanctions Compliance Policy and that they implement the necessary and appropriate processes in order to prevent illegal activities.

It is the policy of DPD Ireland to comply with all relevant restrictive measures and economic sanctions laws and regulations.  Within this framework, the Employee confirms to the Employer that:

  • The Employee does not know or have reasonable cause to suspect that he or she is designated under sanctions administered or enforced by the European Union (“EU”), the General Directorate of the Treasury (France), Her Majesty’s Treasury (United Kingdom), the sanctions authority of any other EU Member State, or by the United Nations Security Council, the United States (“US”) Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), the US Department of State, and/or other relevant sanctions authorities (collectively “Sanctions”).

  • The Employee understands and agrees that, should he or she become designated under Sanctions during the course of employment, the Employee is obligated to report this fact to his or her supervisor/manager without delay.

  • The Employee understands and agrees that the Employer may perform Sanctions screenings periodically during the course of his or her employment, and that the Employer reserves the right to take appropriate responsive action based upon the designation data received in the performance of these screenings, including but not limited to seeking license from the relevant Sanctions authorities or, where deemed so necessary, the termination of this contract.
