Step 1 – Navigate to the Checklist Tab

Go to the Manage checklist tab from the main menu. This section displays a list of checklist items associated with your carrier category.

Step 2 – Create a New Checklist

To create a new checklist:

  1. Click on Add Rule or Create New Rule.

  2. Enter a checklist Name (e.g., Texas, Seattle).

  3. A list of available checklist items (based on your carrier’s category) will be shown.

  4. You can

    • Select the checklist items from the dropdown that are required for compliance

    • Adjust the weight (%) of each checklist item to reflect its importance.

    • If you don't want to assign a weightage to each checklist item manually, simply click on the Auto Calculate button once all the checklist items are added.

💡 Example:

  • Checklist Name: Texas

    • MVR – 30%

    • Certificate of Violation – 10%

    • Medical Certificate – 40%

  • Checklist Name: Seattle

    • MVR – 30%

    • Certificate of Violation – 10%

    • PSP – 20%

    • Driver License – 40%

Step 3 – Validate the Rule Before Saving

Each checklist must meet the following criteria before it can be saved:

  • Only checklist items already tied to your category can be used.

  • The total weight of all selected checklist items must equal exactly 100%.

Step 4 – Associate a checklist With a Driver

When assigning drivers:

  • The driver inherits the carrier’s category.

  • Admins can select a checklist for each driver.

  • Based on the selected rule, the driver’s compliance percentage will be calculated accordingly.

  • If no specific carrier is linked to the driver, a default rule will apply.

Step 5 – Understand Compliance Percentage Calculation

Compliance is calculated based on which checklist items the driver has completed (uploaded documents) relative to the rule assigned.

📝 Example:

  • Checklist Texas

    • MVR – 30%

    • Certificate of Violation – 10%

    • Medical Certificate – 40%

  • If the driver uploads only the MVR, their compliance score will be 30%.

  • Uploading all three documents brings the score to 100%.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. Can I edit an existing checklist?
Yes. Go to the Manage checklist tab, and click on the Modify button of the desired Rule to make changes.

  2. What happens if a rule doesn’t total 100%?
The system will not allow you to save the rule until the total weight equals exactly 100%.

  3. Can a driver be associated with more than one rule?
No. Each driver can only be linked to one checklist at a time

  4. What is the Default Rule

The default rule is automatically created for each carrier and includes all checklist items associated with the carrier's category. By default, each item is given equal weightage (the total is evenly divided). However, carriers can customize the default rule by adjusting the weightage or removing specific checklist items as needed.
