Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Carrier Purchases ELP Licenses
The carrier navigates to the ELP signup page (for example:
dqid.com/elp).Clicks Get Started.
Completes the signup form with:
Carrier Name
Carrier Address
DOT Number
Representative Name, Email, and Phone Number
Selects the number of ELP licenses to purchase.
Pricing is displayed per license (for example, $30 per license).
The carrier is redirected to Stripe Checkout to complete the payment.
Step 2A: Access ELP Carrier Dashboard
The carrier logs in to the DQID portal.
If the carrier is an ELP Type Carrier, they are directed to the ELP dashboard.
From the dashboard, the carrier can:
Add drivers
Send ELP test invitations
Track invitation status
Purchase additional licenses
View completed test files
Step 2B: Existing DQID Carriers (No ELP Signup Required)
If the carrier already exists in the DQID platform:
The carrier does not need to sign up again for the ELP portal.
The carrier can log in directly using their existing DQID carrier credentials.
Upon login:
The carrier is redirected to the ELP dashboard.
The dashboard displays a list of current drivers already associated with that carrier in DQID.
It also displays the stats for the license and test details.
Step 3: Invite Drivers for the ELP Test
The carrier adds a driver by entering:
Driver Name
Email address
Phone number
The system sends the ELP test invitation to the driver.
The carrier can view the invitation status:
Pending
Completed
Failed
Step 4: Driver Receives Invite and Starts the ELP Test
The driver receives the ELP test link via email or SMS.
Clicking the link:
Redirects to the app store if the app is not installed
Uses deep linking to pass the required data automatically
On first launch:
Login and profile setup are skipped
The driver is taken directly to the ELP test
No other areas of the app are accessible
Step 5: Driver Completes the ELP Test
If the driver passes the test:
A congratulations screen is shown
A certificate (PDF) is emailed to the driver
The ELP test is marked as completed in the checklist
A modal prompts the driver to try the full DQID platform
If yes, the driver is taken to the DQID home screen
Step 6: View Test Results and Files
The carrier can:
View the invite and test status for each driver
Access the ELP test file from the dashboard
Step 7: Resend Invite (Retake Test)
If a driver fails the ELP test three times:
A Resend Invite option becomes available.
The carrier must repurchase a license for the same driver if they don't have an available license.
Once purchased:
A new test link is sent via email or SMS
The driver can retake the test following the same flow
Step 8: Revoke Invite
If a driver has not yet accepted the invitation and the invite status is Pending, the carrier can revoke the invite.
When an invite is revoked:
The associated license is recovered
The carrier can use the recovered license to invite another driver
No additional license purchase is required
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Do existing DQID carriers need to sign up again for the ELP portal?
No. Existing carriers can log in with their current DQID credentials and will be redirected to the ELP dashboard, where they can invite drivers and view their current driver list.
2. Can a carrier revoke an invitation if the driver has accepted the license?
No. If the invite is accepted, it cannot be revoked. If the invite status is Pending, the carrier can revoke it. The license will be recovered, allowing the carrier to invite another driver without purchasing a new license.
3. What happens if a driver fails the ELP test multiple times?
If a driver fails the test three times, the carrier can refresh the invite by repurchasing a license for that driver. A new test link is then sent for a retake.
4. How does a driver access the ELP test?
Drivers receive a link via email or SMS. Clicking the link:
Redirects to the app store if the app is not installed
Skips login/profile setup on first launch
Takes the driver directly to the ELP test
