Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Driver Self-Signup for ELP

  1. The driver visits dqid.com/elp.

  2. Clicks “Sign Up as Driver”.

  3. Completes the signup form by providing:

    • Full name

    • Email address

    • Phone number

Step 2: Complete Payment

  1. After submitting the signup form, the driver is redirected to the payment page.

  2. Payment is completed securely via Stripe.

  3. Once payment is successful:

    • The ELP license is activated

    • The driver receives an email with the ELP test access link

Step 3: Access the ELP Test

  1. The driver clicks the test link received via email.

  2. If the app is not installed:

    • The driver is redirected to the app store

  3. On first app launch:

    • Login and profile setup are skipped

    • The driver is taken directly to the ELP test

    • No other sections of the app are accessible at this stage

Step 4: Take the ELP Test

  • The driver completes the ELP test within the app.

  • The same test flow applies as for carrier-invited drivers.

Step 5: Test Completion & Certificate

  • If the driver passes the test:

    • A certificate (PDF) is emailed to the driver

  • After completing the test:

    • The driver is given the option to explore the full DQID platform

Step 6: Profile Visibility for ELP Drivers

  • For ELP-only drivers:

    • Driver profile details are hidden

    • The compliance percentage is not displayed

  • No driver dashboard is shown for ELP-only users.

Existing DQID Drivers Purchasing an ELP License

Step 7: Purchase an ELP License as an Existing Driver

  1. An existing DQID driver logs in to the ELP Portal using their driver credentials.

  2. The driver purchases an ELP license.

  3. If the driver is associated with a carrier that does not offer ELP:

    • An ELP test invite appears in the Notifications tab

    • The driver can start the test from the notification

  4. Upon completion:

    • The ELP certificate is emailed to the driver

Retake Policy

Step 8: Repurchase License After Failure

  • Drivers are allowed three attempts per license.

  • If the driver fails all three attempts:

    • They must repurchase a new license to retake the ELP test.

  • Drivers can only purchase one license at a time.
