How to Request a Document from a Driver

This guide explains how a Carrier Admin can request a document from a driver and how the driver completes the request via the system or mobile app.

Step 1 – Go to the Drivers Tab

Log in to your carrier account and navigate to the Drivers tab from the main menu. This section contains a list of all drivers associated with your carrier.


Step 2 – Click on Any Driver’s Name

Locate the driver from whom you want to request a document and click on their name. This will open the driver’s profile where all driver-related details are available.


Step 3 – Switch to the Checklist Tab

Inside the driver profile, navigate to the Checklist tab. This tab contains all compliance-related documents and actions associated with the driver.

Expand the checklist item you want to request a document for by clicking on the accordion icon with each checklist item


Step 4 – Click on the “Request Document” Button

Click on the Request Document button to initiate a document request.

Once the request is sent:

  • A document request will be triggered for the driver

  • The driver will receive a notification if the mobile app is installed


Driver Notification and Action Flow

Once the request is sent, the driver will receive a notification on their mobile app (if installed).

On the landing page, the driver will see a document request notification with the following actions:

  • Upload Document

  • Fill Form (if a dynamic form is attached)


Driver Submission Process

1. Upload Document (PDF)

If the request requires a file upload, the driver can upload a document in PDF format directly from their device.


2. Fill Form (Dynamic Form Available)

If a dynamic form is attached to the request:

  • The driver can click on Fill Form

  • A form will open inside the system

  • The driver fills in the required information and submits the form

Once submitted:

  • The system automatically converts the form into a PDF document

  • The generated PDF is then submitted as the final document


Important Note

The driver must have the mobile application installed in order to receive notifications for document requests.


Confirmation of Submission

Once the driver completes the process:

  • The uploaded document or submitted form will be attached to the driver’s checklist

  • The carrier admin can review the submitted document from the driver’s profile

1. What if the driver does not receive a notification?

Ensure the driver has the mobile app installed and notifications enabled.


2. Can a driver submit both form and file?

Only one submission type is required per request (either file upload or dynamic form submission).


3. What format is supported for uploads?

Only PDF format is supported for document uploads.


4. What happens after form submission?

The system converts the form into a PDF and automatically attaches it to the driver’s checklist.
