When do I get paid?

Payments to Scouts are made after the new hire has finished their Probation Period, as long as the company has not notified us that the new hire was terminated or left before the end of the Probation Period.

How do I get paid?

Congrats on successfully referring someone! It’s payday and all you have to do is navigate to “Settings” → “Payment Methods” to connect your bank details. We integrate with Stripe to ensure all your payment information is safe and secure.

Countries we support

We ONLY support payments to people in the countries/regions listed below. If yours is not listed, you will NOT be eligible for payment.

Full List of Countries

How does Draftboard get paid?

Draftboard takes a 20% marketplace fee on all transactions. So say you successfully made a referral for a job on Draftboard with a $3,000 bonus - you take home $2,400 and Draftboard takes $600.

Do I have to be an employee of Draftboard to get paid?

Nope! You’ll be paid as an independent contractor. When you’re eligible for a payment, we’ll notify you - you’ll need to fill in some basic personal information so that we can send you the payment.

What about taxes?

Our partnership with Stripe allows you to seamlessly submit the info required to furnish you with the proper tax documents at tax filing time. You should consult an accountant for actual advice, but in general independent contractors are required to submit a 1099 tax form which we (via Stripe) will provide you. Ultimately you are responsible for filing your taxes appropriately.

What if I file taxes outside of the U.S.?

You are more than welcome be a Scout (with limited exceptions)! But as with US Scouts you’ll be responsible for filing taxes in your country. If you live outside of the U.S. please make sure you understand your country tax requirements and file appropriately.
