Overview

Game documents are essential tools used throughout our platform to manage and track important game-related information. This guide provides an overview of:

  • What game documents are

  • Who uses them (key personas)

  • Where they are located

  • Common use cases and document types

  • Troubleshooting tips

What Are Game Documents?

Game documents are digital forms tied to specific games on the platform. These documents help capture and formalize key actions or events that occur before, during, or after games.

Common types of game documents include:

  • Ejection Reports

  • Incident Reports

  • Sanctioning Requests

  • Payment-related Forms

Who Uses Game Documents?

Several roles interact with game documents, including:

  • Officials & Game Workers: Submit reports (e.g., ejection or incident reports).

  • Assigners: Oversee documentation tied to their scheduled games.

  • School Staff (e.g., Athletic Directors, Coaches): Review or initiate documentation tied to their teams.

  • State Association Staff: Monitor compliance and documentation across schools and officials.

Tip: Document visibility and access depend on user roles and permissions.

Where to Find Game Documents

  1. Navigate to the Game Schedule.

  2. Click into the specific game.

  3. Inside the Game Details section, look for the Game Documents tab or section.

There, you’ll see available documents like ejection reports, incident reports, and sanctioning requests.

Common Use Cases

  • Officials submitting an ejection report after a game.

  • Schools requesting sanctioning for a special event.

  • State associations reviewing incident reports for compliance.

Troubleshooting Tips

Customer can’t find a document:

  1. Confirm they are looking in the correct Game Details section.

  2. Verify their user role grants permission to view or submit the document type.

  3. If the document hasn’t been created yet (e.g., an ejection report), guide them to submit it or escalate to the relevant party (assigner, school, etc.).

Document options missing for a user:

  • Check their permissions and role settings.

  • Some document types are conditional (e.g., sanctioning requests may only appear for specific game types or associations).
