When viewing athlete eligibility in DragonFly, you may see the "Academic Standing" column on the right side of the screen.

The Academic Standing column is an indicator of whether your athletes are On Track to Graduate (OTG) according to your state association standards. Academic Standing is generated from an athlete's Grade Point Average (GPA) in core classes that are pre-determined by your state association. GPA is updated nightly through an integration with your academic software provider.

The Academic Standing column will show the student's GPA in either black or red with a check box.

  • Black indicates that a student is OTG and the checkbox is marked.

  • Red indicates that a student is not OTG and the checkbox is unmarked.

There may be instances when an Administrator needs to manually override Academic Standing on a student-by-student basis.  Here's how you do that:

  1. Click on the student's GPA and their name will pop up with an option to either "Mark as On Track to Graduate" or "Mark as NOT On Track to Graduate."

2. After selecting your option, a window will pop up where where you must share a reason for the manual override.

3. Once the manual override is completed, the student will be marked as "On Track to Graduate" or "Not On Track to Graduate" with the reason visible in the column.

4. If you would like to remove the manual override, click the reason in the column and their name will pop up with an option to "Determine On Track to Graduate Automatically." Select this option and OTG will be automatically generated through your academic software integration.
