How to restore an archived or replaced policy

HERE'S WHY

You may want restore any policies you have archived or replaced.

Drata provides comprehensive tools to restore, review, or revert policies to their original state. These include restoring archived or replaced policies, retrieving overwritten templates, and reverting customized policies back to default templates. Understanding the range of restoration options ensures that your organization remains compliant and streamlined.

BEFORE DIVING IN

Admins and information security leads will have access to create, approve and update policies within Drata.

Additionally, other team members may have view-only access or limited permissions depending on the organization’s admin settings.

HERE'S HOW

  1. Navigate to the 'Policy Center', and ensure you are on the Archived or replaced policies tab.

  2. A table of archived or replaced policies is displayed. Select the restore icon ().

  3. Review the Restore Policy Modal.

    • The modal will list all tests associated with that policy or policy version. These tests will be re-enabled when the policy is restored.

  4. Select Restore to accept and restore.
