Setting up a text messaging campaign through DripJobs and Twilio can be a powerful way to keep your clients informed. However, some campaigns are denied due to compliance and verification issues. Below are the most common reasons campaigns fail, along with clear steps on how to resolve each one.
1. Legal Business Name Does Not Match EIN
Issue:
One of the most frequent reasons for campaign rejection is that the legal business name submitted during registration does not match the name associated with the EIN (Employer Identification Number) on record with the IRS.
Solution:
To resolve this, you’ll need to request your IRS EIN Assignment Letter, which confirms your business name and EIN as registered. You can send this document to us at lauracuadros@dripjobs.com, and we’ll use it to verify your business identity with Twilio.
Why we need this:
Twilio requires this verification to ensure that the business information submitted is accurate and legally tied to your EIN. This is critical for A2P compliance and message deliverability.
2. Invalid or Incomplete Address
Issue:
Campaigns may also fail if the business address you provide is invalid or does not match official records. The address must be the one registered with the IRS or a legally verifiable address.
Solution:
Again, the IRS EIN Assignment Letter includes your officially registered business address. Please request this document from the IRS if you don’t already have it, and email it to lauracuadros@dripjobs.com.
Why we need this:
We use this letter to confirm that the submitted address is legitimate and verifiable. Twilio uses this information during the vetting process to prevent fraudulent messaging activity.
3. Invalid or Inactive Website
Issue:
If your website is not live, under construction, or missing essential information, the campaign may be rejected.
Solution:
If you don’t have a fully functioning website, we recommend using the DripJobs Booking Form as your primary link. To copy your unique link:
Go to the left-side panel in DripJobs
Scroll down to Settings > Booking Form
Click the icon with two papers to copy the link
You can paste this link in the website field during registration.
4. Missing Opt-In Messaging
Issue:
Another common failure point is the absence of a proper opt-in message on your website. Twilio requires businesses to display a message that informs visitors they are agreeing to receive text messages.
Solution:
To comply, your website must include the following message:
"I agree to receive text messages from Performance Floors & Coating. These messages may include project-related updates, appointment reminders, and other important project-related information. You understand that standard text messaging and data rates may apply. You may opt out of receiving these messages at any time by replying 'STOP' to any text message, or by contacting Performance Floors & Coating directly."
We recommend embedding your DripJobs Booking Form on your website. This form already includes the necessary opt-in language. To locate the form:
Go to Settings > Booking Form in DripJobs
Click the double-paper icon to copy the link
Embed it on your site
