What are Instant Payouts?

Normally, Stripe pays you on a schedule (like every week). With Instant Payouts, you can request your money immediately and get it within 30 minutes. This works 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Keep in mind:

  • There's a small fee for each instant payout (1% to 1.5% depending on your country)

  • You can still receive regular payouts for any money you don't request instantly

  • Your money must be in the same currency as your bank account

Setting Up Your Payout Method

What You Need

To receive instant payouts, you need either:

  • A debit card, or

  • An eligible bank account (varies by country)

How to Add a Payout Method

1. In your Stripe Dashboard, go to Settings

2. Find External payout accounts and scheduling

3. Add your debit card or bank account information

4. You only need to do this once

Note: If you need to update your card details, you'll need to remove the old card and add the new one (you can't edit existing cards for security reasons).

When Your Money Becomes Available

  • Credit card payments: Available for instant payout immediately after the customer pays

  • Bank transfers (ACH): Only available for instant payout after the payment fully settles (usually 3-5 business days)

Need Help?

If you don't see the instant payout option, you might not be eligible yet or may need to add a valid payout method. Check the Balances section of your Dashboard for more information about your account status.
