ESTIMATE
Here on DripJobs, estimates will be taken as the process of understanding where and when the company is going to work, how the place looks like, its size, its good/bad points (knowing what can be done on the place and what cannot be done)
Below is an example of an On-Site Estimate where details of the customer was shown as well as the description of the project.
PROPOSALS
A proposal is where you can add line items, areas, pacakges, setup your payment settings, confirm payment scheduling, send work orders, applu change orders and setting the corresponding amount for the proposal. Once the proposal is accepted it becomes a job/project.
Below you can see an example of a proposal to a client after conducting an On-Site Estimate.
The main difference between an estimate and a proposal is the moment both are made.
Normally the estimate is the first step before attempting a proposal. Once you have an estimate completed, you'll be able to attach all details obtained into a new proposal which will guide your customer into knowing what to expect on their place.
