How to integrate new Thumbtack Leads to DripJobs CRM

The following instructions will show you how to set up Thumbtack leads to flow directly into DripJobs.

The goal of this integration is for DripJobs to automatically text & email your new Thumbtack leads as soon as they enter into your Thumbtack account!

Once a lead enters DripJobs, it will be created as a "Deal" in the "Cold Leads" Stage of your Sales Pipeline.

Create a Webhook Zap for incoming leads from Thumbtack

1. Log into your Zapier account at Zapier.com. In order to use this function, you must have a Zapier PRO account.

2. Click on “Create a Zap” button on the top left corner in Zapier

3. Next, please name your zap in the upper left corner; Thumbtack recommends (e.g.

Thumbtack Incoming Lead)

4. Create a trigger event by using the “Webhook” function highlighted below

5. Under “Choose Trigger Event”, choose “Catch Hook” and click Continue.

Please make sure you utilize the “Catch Hook” and not “Catch Raw Hook”

6. Zapier will provide a custom Webhook URL with the following structure:

7. Please copy this unique URL and provide this to the partnerships team at:

partnerproducts-eng@thumbtack.com (This is the email for Thumbtack, if you are buying leads from another provider, ask them where to email your webhook)

a. The webhook URL will be your lead endpoint that we will use to connect and

send leads automatically from Thumbtack to your current software/crm

b. In your email, please provide your Thumbtack business ID that you would like to

connect with. Here’s how to get your business ID:

How to retrieve your Thumbtack Business ID:

i. Login to your Thumbtack business account at Thumbtack.com

ii. Toggle over to the "Profile" tab.

iii. Select the URL in the search bar, your Thumbtack ID is the number in the

search engine bar after services/

iv. Here’s an example below that begins with 427

8. Once you have provided this Webhook URL and your Thumbtack Business ID; our

engineering team will work on activating your account with Zapier.

9. After this is finished, the Thumbtack team will contact you to let you know the integration is active and complete.

IMPORTANT:

10. Formatting The Name Properly to be "First Name / Last Name"


DripJobs requires your lead name to be formatted as "First Name, Last Name" rather than the default "Full Name". In order to ensure the lead information gets formatted into DripJobs properly, you must create a "Split Text" action in Zapier:

1. . Select the "Split Text" action with the "Value" as "Customer Name"

2. Use Separator of [:space:] to separate the first and last name

3. Segment Index as All (as Separate Fields) as shown below

11. After you create the "Split-Text" action, create another Action and locate "DripJobs".

12. Select the "Create Lead" action

13. Begin the mapping process of mapping the lead information into DripJobs

14. If this is your first time connecting DripJobs to Zapier, you will be asked to input your unique company API key. In your DripJobs account, head over to Company Settings - Integrations - Zapier and copy your API key.

15. Paste your API Key in the Zapier pop-up. This will validate your account.

14. Test your Zap and check your DripJobs Sales Pipeline under "Cold Leads" to ensure that you received a new lead

*Note, most DripJobs accounts default to a text message / email going out immediately once a deal is created in the Cold Lead Stage. This means, once you "test" the Zap is working, the lead will receive a text / email immediately.

If you know you're going to test this out, change the first "Drip" in the Cold Lead Deal stage to send out 30-minutes to give you enough time to test and delete any test-data.

If you do want the lead to receive the text & email, leave the system as-is and they will receive the follow up upon successful testing.
