Following this guide will help improve your sender reputation in your Twilio Account. Large providers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile require you to register a "campaign" which signals to them why you are sending messages to their customers - this helps prevent fraud and spam.
Note:
Apart from the instructions below, Twilio asks for a series of conditions that must be completed in order to approve the campaign, such as your company's Terms and Conditions, which are visible on the Website, and also the Privacy Policy; you will find examples that DripJobs used, here:
1. In your Twilio account, click "Messaging"
2. Click on Regulatory Compliance
3. Click Regulatory Compliance and navigate to "A2P 10DLC Overview"
4. Click on A2P 10DLC Overview
5. If you haven't began a registration yet, click "Start Registration"
6. Start by creating a Customer Profile
We're now going to register your company
7. Type in your company's Tax ID or EIN number
8. Click on Search
9. Verify your company has been found, and click "Autofill this information"
If Twilio cannot locate your company, submit anyway
10. Fill out the questionnaire
11. Re-Type your EIN or Tax ID number
12. Select Construction from Business Industry
13. Enter your website
14. Check USA and Canada
15. Click on Save and continue
16. Input your business address details
17. Add in your Authorized Representative details
18. Select if you want to add another representative
19. Check this box, hit Save
20. Review your application, hit "Submit For Review"
21. Click on Available A2P Campaign use cases
22. Click on Low Volume Mixed…
23. Ensure "Low Volume Mixed" is selected
24. In Campaign Description, type: "This campaign sends follow ups, project updates, and important transactional messages to our clients."
25. Click on Sample message #1
26. Return to DripJobs, visit your Work Orders page
27. Click a work order, and select Share
28. Click on Send SMS
29. Copy the Work Order text
30. Paste the message in "Sample Message #1" Box.
31. Return to DripJobs, Click on Proposals
32. Choose a proposal
33. Click on Send As Text
34. Copy text area
35. Paste the message in "Sample Message #2 Box.
36. Check Messages will include phone numbers.
37. Click on How do end-users consent to receive messages
38. Type the following text: "Our end-users are able to opt in through a secure booking form. Once they fill out the form, they are then able to correspond with our company through text message"
39. Review your details, leave "Opt in Keywords" and "Opt in Message" Blank
Twilio will fill this in for you
40. Review campaign registration details, click Confirm
41. Click on Campaign details…
42. Once you've created a campaign, you can now select "Register Phone Numbers"
43. You should see your Twilio phone number here. Select the phone number and hit "Register".
