Very important:
This is a "Fail-Safe" to allow you to still text your customers through DripJobs while your A2P Registration is pending. This is a temporary fix - please stay up to date on your verification status. Once your number is verified, you can switch it back.
Q: Will my customers still be able to text my old number?
A: Yes, however, when you text them back, it will come from a new number. It would be good to introduce yourself.
Q: If my customers call my old number, will it ring my business line?
A: If you set up "call forwarding", yes, it will. However, if they try to text the DripJobs default number, they will not be able to reach you. It would be good practice to type in your business phone number on text messages or add it to drips.
Q: How long does the Twilio Verification process take?
A: It generally takes 2-3 weeks. The sooner you apply, the better.
Q: Why is this happening?
A: Laws have been put in place to prevent spam. When you register your number, you are essentially getting a "green-light" from carriers (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon) to text their customers. Read more here.
Notes on DripJobs Twilio Alerts
If you have added a custom number and have not registered a Twilio campaign, you will have the alert below:

What does this mean?: This means that you have a custom Twilio number that has not been registered or verified. Your text messages will NOT be delivered until this phone number is verified.
Next Steps: Visit Twilio and begin the A2P Registration process immediately.
