Production Rates: How to Add a Category & Substrate

This article will show you how to create a new category and assign a default substrate.

1. Click on 'Production Rates'

Click on  Production Rates…

2. Click on 'Area Substrates'

Click on Area Substrates

3. Click on 'Add Category'

Click on Add Category

4. Enter a Category Name

Enter a Category Name

5. Select the Default Calculation Type

Select the Default Calculation Type

6. Click on 'Submit'

Click on Submit

7. Note: The Default Substrate Is Not Yet Set

This is because the newly created category does not yet have an established substrate. We need to create a substrate first.

Note: Default Substrate is not yet set

8. Scroll Down and Click 'Add Area Substrate'

Click on Add Area Substrate

9. Enter Substrate Name

Enter Substrate Name

10. Enter Substrate Client Label

Note, that the 'client label' is what the client sees. This can be something more understandable to the client, such as "Nicole's Barn Doors."


11. Make Any Needed Changes to the Remaining Fields

Click on Room Decals

12. Click on 'Submit'


13. Your New Default Substrate Is Now Available for Selection.

Your new Default Substrate is now available for selection.
