How Can a Client Request a Change Order Once the Proposal Has Been Accepted?

This article will show you how your customer can request a change order from their customer portal & how you can view and manage it.

1. From their customer portal, the customer clicks on My Proposals

2. Then, they click on View for the proposal they would like to request a change order.

3. The click on Request a Change Order

4. They type in a description for the additional work they would like to add, along with any helpful notes.

5. They click on Send Change Order Request

6. They will receive a toast at the top of their screen, letting them know the request has been sent to you.

7. Once you receive a notification, go to your Jobs Pipeline, and find the job.

8. Click on the Proposal Number

9. View the Change Order Request at the top of the Proposal

10. Click on Confirm

11. Review the message you'll be sending to the customer, letting them know you are working on their request.

12. Click on Confirm Change Request

13. Now, it's time to update the Proposal! Click on New Change Order...

14. Click on Add Item or Add Area (depending on what type of proposal you are building.)

15. Add the service(s) or make required edits to the proposal ...

16. Click on Save

17. View the newly added Change Order

Note: From here, you could send the change order, via the button provided, but for the example, we are going to do it another way...

18. At the top of the Proposal, next to the Change Order Request, click on Resolve

19. Review the message that will appear on the customer portal and edit if you like.

20. Review the message that will be sent via email, and edit if you like.

21. Click on Resolve Change Request, to send to your customer.
