Drip credits are a great way to save money on your purchases on Dripshop. Whether you've earned them through referrals, campaigns, or customer support resolutions, these credits can be applied at checkout to lower your total cost. This guide explains everything you need to know about how Drip credits work, how to use them, and what to expect at checkout.
What Are Drip Credits?
Drip credits are a type of store credit that can be used to reduce the cost of your purchases on Dripshop. They function similarly to discount balances and are tied directly to your user account.
These credits are not transferable and can only be used on eligible purchases made through the Drip platform.
Where Do Drip Credits Come From?
You can earn Drip credits in several ways:
Referral Credits
When someone signs up using your referral link and makes a purchase, you’ll earn referral credits as a reward.Campaign Credits
Occasionally, Drip runs promotional campaigns where you can earn credits by participating in events, completing specific actions, or hitting sales milestones.Support-Issued Credits
If you’ve had an issue with an order or experience, the Drip support team may issue you credits as a goodwill gesture to help make things right.
All credits earned will automatically appear in your account and be available at checkout as long as they meet eligibility criteria.
NEW RULE: Cart Must Be $25 or More
To apply Drip credits to your purchase, your cart subtotal (before taxes and shipping) must be at least $25.
This means:
If your cart total is less than $25, your credits cannot be used.
This $25 minimum applies to the product subtotal only. Taxes and shipping fees do not count toward this total.
If your cart meets the minimum requirement, you’ll be given the option to apply your credits during checkout.
This change ensures that credits are used in a way that supports fair usage while maintaining the quality and sustainability of the platform.
How to Apply Credits at Checkout
If your cart subtotal is $25 or more and you have available credits:
Proceed to checkout as usual.
On the checkout screen, you’ll see a checkbox or prompt to apply your Drip credits (if you meet the criteria).
Check the box to apply your available credits.
The credits will be deducted from your subtotal, and your new total will be displayed.
Any remaining balance will be charged to your payment method on file.
Note: If you don’t see the option to apply credits, it’s likely that your cart subtotal is under the $25 threshold or you don’t have available credits.
Additional Things to Know
Credits do not apply to taxes or shipping. Even if your credits fully cover your item subtotal, you will still need to pay any applicable taxes and shipping fees out-of-pocket.
Credits cannot be used to bring your payment total to $0. At least part of the transaction must be paid using a payment method.
Credits do not expire unless otherwise stated as part of a promotional campaign.
Troubleshooting: Why Can’t I Use My Credits?
If you’re not able to apply your Drip credits at checkout, it could be due to one of the following:
Your cart subtotal is under $25.
You have no available credits on your account.
You are attempting to use credits on shipping or tax, which is not allowed.
There is a temporary system issue—try refreshing the page or rechecking your cart.
