The Passing Probability Indicator is a unique feature of the Driving-Tests.org platform designed to estimate your readiness for the relevant knowledge test. This tool is located here https://driving-tests.org/pass-probability/cdl/ and uses your study activity and practice performance to calculate the estimate. It does not guarantee a passing result or represent a federal certification. Here's how to understand and make the most of it:
How It Works
As you progress through your ELDT course—watching the videos, listening to the audio companion guide, reading through the PDF, and taking practice tests and marathons—our system tracks your performance. The Passing Probability Indicator takes into account:
The number of modules you've completed.
The number of practice questions you've answered correctly.
Your performance in the Exam Simulator.
Whether your Challenge Bank™ is empty.
The Indicator estimates your readiness for the relevant knowledge test based on your study activity and practice performance. It does not guarantee a passing result or represent a federal certification.
How to Interpret the Passing Probability
80% or Above: This is the course completion threshold. After you also satisfy all other course requirements, we report your successful ELDT theory training completion to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR). Continue reviewing any weak areas before the relevant knowledge test.
Between 50% and 79%: You're making good progress, but there's still room for improvement. Focus on areas where you've struggled, and keep practicing.
Below 50%: You need more practice before you're ready for the relevant knowledge test. Don't be discouraged—remember, the purpose of the course is to help you learn and improve.
How to Improve Your Passing Probability
If your Passing Probability is lower than you'd like, consider these strategies:
Review the Theory Module: Go back through the video, audio guide, or PDF, and make sure you understand all the concepts.
Practice More: Take more practice tests and marathons. They're designed to help you get comfortable with the exam format and types of questions.
Use the Challenge Bank™: Review the questions you've missed. Understanding why you got these questions wrong can help you avoid similar mistakes in the future.
Take Advantage of the Exam Simulator: It provides realistic practice for the relevant knowledge test. The more comfortable you are with the Simulator, the more comfortable you'll be on exam day.
The Passing Probability Indicator helps you track your preparation for the relevant knowledge test. Use it as a study guide, not as a guarantee of a passing result. Happy studying!
