It isn’t necessary to create a User prior to building a Forecast in Dryrun. However, if you are looking to share your Forecast, you will need to create a user prior to sharing.

You can create users in multiple ways:

From the Forecast’s menu

When you select the Share option either right from within the Forecast or the Forecast dashboard (by clicking on the collapsed menu icon) you will be prompted to select a User. Click on Add New to bring up the screen where you can add the details of the new user.

ProTip: Under User Type, select Forecast User for all your clients and other people outside of your organization. Teams User is meant to be used by your colleagues and other people you manage in order to differentiate between users and permissions.

From the Users dashboard

If you click on the Users option on the left-hand side of your screen, this will take you to your dashboard. From here, not only will you be able to see all your users in detail, but you will also be able to add more.

You will then be prompted to add all the information as noted above.

Here’s a quick video that takes you through this process:

Editing your Users

If you are looking to edit the information you have entered for your users, you can do so from the Users dashboard.

You will see that on the right-hand side of the screen, there is a Details button. By clicking on this button, you will then be able to Edit User or Send Invite to view or edit your Forecasts, as per your sharing permissions. You can also Remove User from this screen.

Here’s a video on that:

ProTip: Once you remove the user, you will not be able to re-add the user to a Forecast. Please send us a message via chat or to support@dryrun.com and we will be able to assist.
