About This Tutorial

As a teacher, you can take payment either in person or online using your Duet studio. There are three platforms you can use to accept online payments:

  • PayPal

  • Stripe

  • Authorize.net

You don't need to set up all three, just the one(s) you want.

If you set up one of these payment options, a link to that option will appear at the bottom of the invoices that you create for your students. For example:

Here is the bottom part of an invoice without any online payment set up.

Here is what the bottom of the invoice looks like when payment is set up.

This tutorial shows you to how collect payments using PayPal, along with a link on how to set up a PayPal account if you don't already have one.

Create a PayPal Account

PayPal has a variety of ways for people to send you payment. Your student/parent can use their bank account, credit card, their PayPal balance, and a couple more ways.

If you don't already have one create a PayPal account. We recommend a business account. Go to: https://www.paypal.com/us/business/accept-payments
